The cropping on this photo brought focus on the more colorful and interesting part of the photo. Before, the image had parts of it colorful and others distracting and not as eye-catching. The crop brings out the best in the the photo so that the whole image is full of different colors and entertaining subjects.
With the second picture, I was trying to picture the smile and leave it to the reader to imagine the eyes, face, and what the person is smiling about. Also, the background is very muted with a few trees in the background. In the guitar picture, I tried to focus on the left hand while the right hand was out of focus. I also used natural lighting even though the picture is indoors. In the third picture, I took the picture above the subject to create an abstract image and take a photo from a vantage point that is unusual.
When I heard Hurricane Sandy was coming to give New York a quick visit I was scared. At first I wasn't so scared, we had food, electricity it was all good. My parents kept watching the news. There were multiple videos and pictures of fallen trees. I heard the mayor saying that school would be canceled and the New York Marathon was canceled. There was no flooding around my area but it was raining a little. Honestly it didn't look that bad. My dad made me, my brother and my mom to stay at my friends place till the storm went away.
Me and my car are fine, but as you see many of my neighbors were not so lucky. In general I am very grateful, I had no flooding, no crunched car, I did have electricity, internet, food, organic coffee, friends nearby, and cats to keep me warm.
This photo was taken in Park City, Utah going up the lift for the Alpine Slide. I enjoy the way the trees are so tall and it seems to be a never ending forest. The lighting at that time of day (late afternoon) was perfect. This shows the beginning of fall with green leaves still present; however, you get the red and yellow colors too.
This is a picture by deanna515 on flickr. I think it shows the magic of nature in many ways. The trees are changing colors in Autum and the reflection of those trees in the water. The sky in also a pinkish color which is another magical thing.
In a distant are these deep red flowers, while I get close, I notice more of it's details. It looks as if it is not fully bloomed, like maybe half bloomed. In my opinion these are really pretty, the deep red so majestic. Red like the reddest apple you've ever seen, a bright luminous red.
This photo was taken at a local playground in New York City. I girl was climbing on the jungle gym when this photo was taken. This photo looks really cool because he jungle gym is going up and is on an incline. It adds something extra to the photo and it really looks cool.
I have always been greatly interested in art and the affects a simple art piece can have on many people. Photography is just another way to express the views of an artist and the power of Photoshop helps an artist create a piece that lives up to their standard and expectations. I love taking photographs and then being able to modify them because as an artist, it gives me a lot more power. I can never take the same picture twice and therefore I can never do the same thing on Photoshop twice without it creating a different experience for someone else. Obviously, like many things out there, Photoshop can be abused by many people, but I find it very helpful as an artist who takes my work seriously.
Something I have become interested in learning more about is the story behind a picture. I started to become interested in Jerry N. Uelsmann because of the strangeness of his pictures. They were different so it made me wonder about what he might have been thinking while he was putting together an image. So far I have learned that Uelsmann heavily believes in re-visualizing an image in a way that will make him amaze himself.
I took this picture at my school on the beach looking towards the reflection garden and the walkway to the front of the school. This picture is for Fall but on the day I took this picture it had snowed so it was a mix of both Fall and snow. You can see that the leaves are starting to change in this photo. In photoshop I equalized the photo and made the photo a little bit brighter.

I live through waking up to Indian Spices every morning Live through eating cereal alone in the dark Everyone sitting around a red cloth having fun just being together The pizzeria always in a rush and everyone running on Dunkin' Through the streets of Madhuranagar, so lively And through Hoover Av's colorful fall trees
With Christmas just around the corner, families have begun putting up the lights, decorations, and trees. But which is better-a real Christmas tree or a fake?
