Add a Bookmark to your Diigo Library

  1. Sign in to Diigo, and View the Diigo toolbar.
  2. Use http://youthvoices.net/searchguides to find something to read.
  3. While reading a source online, highlight a quote that you want to save.
  4. Click Bookmark on the Diigo toolbar.
  5. The section of that text that you have highlighted appears in the Description box.
  6. Add paragraph ONE above your quote.
  7. Add paragraph TWO and THREE below your quote. (See below.)
  8. Click Share to a Group, and choose Youth Voices.
  9. Select tags from the Group Tag Dictionary and add several tags of your own.
  10. Save.

ONE: I'm learning more about <my keyword> right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: <Pose  question.> I was researching this question online, and this <blog post / news item / magazine article / podcast / twitter post> caught my attention because... <Explain what exactly why you chose this item to read. Was it the title? Something you saw in the summary? Or whar? How did this specific source spark your interest?>

TWO: The quote I chose here is basically saying <paraphrase the quote, putting it into your own words. Be sure your re-statement is clear, complete, and cogent.>

THREE: I think this is <strong, descriptive adjective> because... It makes me wonder... <Finish this sentence, then freewrite for 5 minutes about any new thoughts you may be having about your inquiry question>
