It's finally November and it's starting to get chilly outside.  I find myself pulling on my puffy North Face jacked and stepping into slippers in the morning.  A few times I have even had to face the awful task of scraping the ice off of my windshield.  But we all know, when the weather gets cold, Christmas is right around the corner.  On the first of November,  100.3 Fm plays nonstop Christmas music until well into January.  Some people even put up lights and decorations to get in the spirit.  True it isn't even Thanksgiving, but what's wrong with a little head start on holiday spirit?
I've always loved Christmas and no matter what time of year it was I would get out my little manger scene and play with it all day.  I still play Christmas music in mid summer just for the joy of it, but when November hits I usually find myself too busy to care.  School and basketball take over my life and there's not much time to think about anything else.  In recent years I have been left to buy presents on Christmas Eve and Christmas itself just passes by.  This year I have decided to get a head start.  I've tuned 100.3 Fm on my car radio.  I might even buy a few presents even before Thanksgiving.  I don't care how far in advance I am thinking about it, this year Christmas won't pass me by.
