As of late, the idea of using in reflections in my photographs has been very dominant in everything I do. I’ve really been trying to stay away from typical photographs that use reflections (i.e. water, mirrors, etc) In my house, there is an interesting shelf where the back wall is mirror I thought that it would be nice to take a photograph of that and use a deep depth of field so that all the glasses and the reflections would be shown. My second photograph was taken while lounging on my couch with friends. Using a really interesting prospective I was able to capture the chips so that they were completely clear and the surroundings were out of focus. The metal foil on the bag was able to reflect the image of the chips and cause some interesting patterns. Lastly, in my library, we have a great fire place with very reflective doors upon it. I took this opportunity to shoot the image in such a way that my whole kitchen would be seen in the reflection.
