In my book Night Fall I'm currently up to page 200. Leaving off from last time Agent John Corey was at the house of former ATTF agent Marie Gubiotski to ask her questions on whether or not she knew anything about the crash of Flight TWA 800, Agent Liam Griffith or that mysterious couple on the beach that left the Bayview Hotel with a blanket, a picnic basket and video camera. Marie told Corey everything she knows, but he has a couple of questions for his wife Kate now and as he heads back to Manhattan on the ferry to meet his wife Agent Kate Mayfield at a bar called Delmonicos. As they have a couple of drinks Corey realizes that kate is holding back a lot of stuff from him like important information from when she worked on the TWA 800 case. She starts to tell him what really went on about the process she used when working on this case and how she often talked to Ted Nash (Corey's former colleague who he hated because he thought hum and Kate were having a relationship). As Kate reveals details about how she confided in Ted and now Corey is really pissed. He leaves Kate in the bar by herself and walks off.

Important Quote: "If I'd had two more I would have probably calmed down, but I only had a half drink in me, and I couldn't get past the fact that my wife had lied to me" (DeMille 197).
I found this quote to be important because it shows the emotions that Corey has after he realizes kate has been lying to him this whole time about how she hasn't talked to anyone about this case and how she hasn't dated Ted before. Corey can't seem to contemplate how he hasn't been told the complete truth and how he's been so blind for so long. Everytime he talks with Kate there seems to be something new about this case that he hasn't found out yet and he's tired of not being told and he really wants to get to the bottom of this whether or not he's forbidden to or not.
